Edie, started her Stenography schooling in 1969, and started her freelance business in 1972. Now known as Forbes Court Reporting LLC.
Her expertise in the stenographic field is unmatched, 50 years of experience, a few of her cases ranging from the Attica Riots Civil Suits in the 1970s, the Sammy Gingillo Grand Jury in the 80s, and many Supreme Court, Federal Court, and Town Court cases.
Edie worked tirelessly to build her business over 50 years, and employed free-lance Court Reporters along the way to take on more cases.
Edie retired from Court Reporting in 2009, and remained the owner until 2015 when Kelly Forbes became Operations Manager and Owner.
Edie still loves Court Reporting and tries to stay as involved as possible with the business, but is happily retired with her husband Edgar Forbes.

Kelly officially took over Forbes Court Reporting in 2015, becoming the 3rd generation for our family business.
Kelly’s background is a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies from New York State Institute of Technology.
Kelly worked for Edie as an Executive Assistant for 20 years, through her years Kelly became knowledgable in the New York State Court Systems, which allowed her to build her interpersonal skills, and form contracts with Court Systems across the state.
MACRAE FORBES

Macrae Forbes started working for Forbes Court Reporting in 2019 after graduating from High School.
Macrae began with taking digital proceedings from 2019-2020 and became executive assistant in 2021. She is currently working in Court with Voice Court reporting, and Stenographic court reporting methods.

Edna Macrae worked for Forbes Court Reporting from 1972-1999.
